For those occasions when every family member clamors at once for a Belgian waffle, this inexpensive waffle iron meets the challenge, turning out four at once. Then it quickly heats up again (a green light shines when the perfect temperature is achieved) and makes four more, each 4 by 4-1/2 inches and blessed with the deep indentations that hold so much butter, syrup, and fruit. Because the grids are nonstick and the exterior is hard plastic, the waffle iron cleans easily. It also stands up for compact storage until the following weekend arrives and waffle appetites again reach their peak. The 1,200-watt waffle iron measures 11-1/2 inches wide, 5 inches high, and 12-3/4 inches deep.
